What is Gynecomastia?
Gynecomastia consists of a breast reduction surgery performed on men who have an excess of mammary glands, either due to hormonal, pharmacological, obesity or drug use causes. The operation is usually performed under general anesthesia and requires hospitalization.
Why is it done?
Many men have gynecomastia disorder: pathological enlargement of one or both breasts. This development problem can be due to different causes such as poor estrogen metabolism, hormonal problems, accumulation of fat and obesity. Although it is not a serious health problem, most men who suffer from this pathology go to surgery for an aesthetic issue.
